NHL on SN 2018-19 season campaign
The goal of the Home of Hockey campaign was to elevate Sportnet's hockey presence in the mind's of Canadian NHL fans. Not just for the game broadcasts, but for the pre-game show, post-game, news, analysis, highlights and social.
One of the ways we did this was by taking on the dreaded "laundry list" of offerings and turning it into a fun exercise in more is more. Leveraging the star power of NHL players, we had them list off all of Sportnet's properties for the "Multiplex" spot which kicked off the season. The spot won a 2019 Bronze Promax (North America) for Best Use of an Athlete.
We also produced numerous station IDs (5sec and 10sec) highlighting our national and regional coverage across Canada.
This campaign introduced the "locker room" set where I captured promo liners, interview questions and stoic "power poses" in a heavily branded space. The content we gathered on these sets was used to build promotional assets across the entire season and post-season.
