The Favourite Jokes
video, 2006, Part of the Impostor series + Living Documents installation
My Favorite Jokes sees my “impostor”, Jacqueline van de Geer, attempting to concoct a stand-up routine based on a list of my personal favorite jokes. Her performance borrows from the conventions of stand-up but completely fails to hit its marks. The result is both painful and hilarious at the same time.
